Heathrow originally had 6 runways. 4 runways have been concreted in to create a pure gold mine of plane/carparks which produce vast profits for Heathrow Airport Limited and the government. Now they want more free land to build more money-making plane/car parks!

If Britain needs a Hub airport, there is always Boris Island. At the moment, the Chinese are building tons of new airports, getting them up and running in a year!

If I was to give you (or even a 5year old kid!) a map of Heathrow and the surrounding areas, would you be able to fit in a new 3 mile long runway, without bashing down a single house? Yes! Of course you could! There are plenty of lakes/swamps to the West. It may cost a bit to re-shape them.

But, Heathrow Airports Limited wouldn’t get all the thousands of acres of prime real estate on which they are going to build their gold mine - ie. plane & car parks - which require almost no maintenance, just a minimum-wage guard, supplementing their shareholders with an absolute fortune in daily parking charges.

If the tired old government can’t stomach new ideas like building a new Boris Island Airport; If Gatwick directors don’t know and cant butter-up any decision makers in high places; then DONT let Heathrow build its 3rd runway to the North West - bashing down villages and 750 homes...
